Long-standing retail forex platform with MQL4 expert advisors
Overview
MetaTrader 4 (MT4) is a forex and CFD trading platform released by MetaQuotes in 2005 and offered to retail traders through brokers rather than purchased directly. It remains one of the most widely deployed retail trading platforms in the world, known for its MQL4 scripting language that lets traders build Expert Advisors (automated strategies), custom indicators, and scripts. It is favoured for forex and CFD trading but is not designed for full-scale stock or exchange-traded futures trading.
